Like the five-link front suspension, the trapezoidal-link rear suspension is as well. With outstanding kinematics for a combination of excellent ride quality and directional stability. These kinematics, together with precise brake modulation, significantly reduce brake dive and the pitch-and-roll associated with spirited driving.
Airbags
Full-size airbags for driver and front passenger with two stage activation, front knee airbags, side airbags, and Sideguard™ head airbags. Optional rear side airbags help protect the driver and all passengers in a collision.
Audi adaptive light
Audi's dynamic adaptive headlight technology pivots the Audi A5's headlight modules to follow twists and turns in the road. The result: the road is more clearly illuminated and any possible obstructions are more visible to the driver.
Side Airbags
Sideguard™ side airbags extend over the entire side window area to help protect front and outer rear passengers in a side collision or rollover. These are combined with dual front driver and passenger airbags.
Braking system
Dual circuit, diagonally split system with brake assist automatically applies maximum braking force during emergency braking, tandem servo, ventilated discs at front, solid discs at rear.
