over a century ago, August Horch, driven by high
standards and passion, designed “good, strong
vehicles for discerning tastes”. And this has
stayed the same right up to the present day: the
name Audi stands for high-quality vehicles with
advanced technology and progressive design –
summed up in the company slogan: “Vorsprung
durch Technik”.
Yet Audi does not always follow conventional paths:
quattro, TDI and ASF, for example, are answers to
the most pressing questions in car manufacturing.
Audi innovations have also continued to prove their
worth in the long and successful history of Audi
motor sport.
Audi engineers are continually striving for better
solutions and new ways that are typical of Audi
– both for the vehicle itself as well as for
the safety of its passengers and the protection
of the environment. According to the maxims of Audi
philosophy, there can be no limits to improvement.
